The BeeMachine team values your privacy like our own. Your sightings will provide information on bee populations that will help scientists protect and conserve these important pollinators. We take great care to protect the privacy of the data you collect when you use this app. We will never sell any personally-identifiable information about you.

Personal data is defined as any recorded information that is about you and from which you can be identified. It does not include anonymous data where your identity has been removed. 

Any data we share with other BeeMachine app users, for the purposes of providing insights about bee populations for conservation science, will be reported anonymously.

If you would like to delete your account and all associated data, tap the menu button in the upper left of the mobile app home screen, select "Account", and then "Delete my account". After accepting the warning notification, the account and all data will be immediately deleted and cannot be recovered.

If you would like to keep your account but delete some or all of your sighting data, tap on a sighting and then tap the trash can icon in the upper right corner. Repeat this step for each sighting you would like to delete. If you need further help, contact our research team at beemachineai@gmail.com.
